Nomenclatural Comment: This species is named for the collector of the holotype and world renowned beetle specialist, Guillermo Kuschel., Holotype. NEW ZEALAND: Northland: 1♂ (NZAC), aedeagus dissected and mounted in balsam on a clear plastic card, “NEW ZEALAND, ND Unuwhao, 270m 25 Nov 1982 G. Kuschel”, “sifted litter and decayed wood 82/125”, “N.Z. Arthropod Collection, NZAC Private Bag 92170 AUCKLAND New Zealand”, “HOLOTYPE Sagola kuscheli Park and Carlton 2013”. Paratype (1 male). NEW ZEALAND: Northland: 1♂ (NZAC), same data as holotype.
