Nomenclatural Comment
This species is named for the collector of the holotype and world-renown beetle specialist, Stewart B. Peck., Type Material. Holotype. NEW ZEALAND: Nelson: 1♂ (NZAC), aedeagus dissected and mounted in balsam on a clear plastic card, “New Zealand: So. Island, 13 km W Collingwood, Mangarakau, 20 V 1982, FMHD#82-589, mixed forest litter, S. Peck”, “HOLOTYPE Sagola pecki Park and Carlton 2013”. Paratypes (n = 2: 1 male; 1 female). NEW ZEALAND: Nelson: 2♀♀ (1♀, slide-mounted; FMNH), same data as holotype.
