Grewe 3008 & T. Widhelm (AK, holotype; F, isotype)., The taxon name is based on its occurrence in New Zealand., Mycobank MB 835425, Material previously named either as L. lobificans or L. finki is likely to be either L. ulrikii or L. neozealandica. Dan Blanchon, pers. comm. after publication of paper by Barcenas-Peña et al. (2021).
