Nomenclatural Comment
Colenso published it as a species, not a hybrid. The type is very close to D. recurvum. Leaves are 2 mm wide which is within range of D. recurvum. There is a flower in a micropacket. Colenso’s description is very detailed. Flowers terminal, in short stout spikes, 8-10-22 flowered, suggests the type has lost a whole inflorescence., Type: H. Hill, 1895, Ruahine Range, WELT 23616, image seen. Label says holotype, collected by H. Hill.
