- Hora created P. rickenii for a concept in use at the time, P. acuminatus sensu Ricken, which Hora considered to be different to P. acuminatus sensu stricto. The consesnsus now seems to be that P. acuminatus is an acceptable name for the material subsequently labelled P. rickenii, and thus P. rickenii falls into synonymy (is not a misapplication). [JAC]
