In Webb et al.1988 the authority is given as Kalanchoe grandiflora Wight & Arn. Flora 4 has footnotes indicating it is an East African species, and related to Kalanchoe marmorata Baker. But Kalanchoe grandiflora Wight & Arn. is an Indian species and most likely not in New Zealand, Kalanchoe grandiflora A.Rich. Tent. Fl. Abyss. 1: 310 (1848), nom. illeg.is as a synonym of Kalanchoe marmorata. Webb et al.1988 did use the incorrect authority.
