- Moore & Edgar 1970 mentions under Scirpus sulcatus var. distigmatosus that it is "similar to S. prolifer and to large forms of S. inundatus in having no true lvs at all, but only sheathing bracts. Several historic herbarium specimens now identified as Isolepis inundata have been previously identied as Scirpus sulcatus.
