- David Glenny (pers. comm.) gave this comment on Megaceros hodgsoniae: Ella Campbell said it was a synonym of Megaceros flagellaris. However, Chris Carfill says (pers. comm. to D. Glenny) that she doubts M. flagellaris is in New Zealand, and that what has been called M. flagellaris is either M. leptohymenius or M. denticulatus.
