Nomenclatural Comment: Holotype. NEW ZEALAND, Canterbury, Lake Heron, Cameron River outwash fan, I. Breitwieser 2113, 8 Jan 1999 (CHR 638310), The specific epithet rugosa is derived from Latin, meaning ‘wrinkled’, referring to this species’ wrinkled leaves.
