- This forma doesn't seem to have been intended to be properly published by Dixon. He gives Syn. G. mutica Hampe in Linn. 1859-60, p. 631, so does cite the basionym, but doesn't state that it is a forma nova. In his comment he states: the forma mutica appears to me a slight form merely. However, he does place Brown's G. mitchellii in synonym with this forma.
